So...
I'm writing my next novel as Z.L. Arkadie.
You've gone without me long enough.
It's been almost five years since my last Z.L. Arkadie release.
But there is a change.
I am going Upmarket Romance!
It will be a holiday book release. Fingers crossed from late October or Early November.
Here's my description.
Every year, they came back to the same house in Monterey.
Every year, they ignored each other—and everything else.
He stayed brooding and distant, forever chasing a father’s love he would never earn.
She stayed bright and brittle, always in service to everyone but herself.
So similar, those two.
They were never supposed to fit.
He made her feel exposed.
She made him feel seen.
So they didn’t speak.
It’s been five years since she came back. Six for him.
They weren’t supposed to return at all.
Until this year.
Because this year, his sister is marrying her ex.
Because this year, her mother’s demons have swallowed the last of her.
Because this year, he won’t let his father steal the rest of his soul.
And this year… they can’t pretend they don’t see each other anymore.
And when the waves crash in on New Year’s Eve,
they’ll either fall apart together—
or finally come home to one another.
